I have changed the IPR using other tools and it was definitely awkward and a hassle, This tool makes it much easier to change the IPR

Removing and installing ipr on my 7.3 diesel

Fit was off and socket flexed before being able to loosen ipr. Waste of money.

They had the right idea when designing this thing, but they made the socket part too short. The tool can reach the IPR valve, but there still isn’t enough room to turn it. If they had made the socket part of the tool an inch or two longer, it would be able to clear the HPOP assembly, so it could be easily turned.
