The price is a bit steep, but it’s definitely worth it. The quality is top-notch, and the fast charging feature for my iPhone 16 Pro is a game-changer. The magnetic hold keeps my phone securely in place while I’m driving, even on bumpy roads. However, there’s one downside: there’s no way to adjust the phone mount with the magnetic. The phone will gradually shift from its position while driving, and you’ll have to readjust it again.

I’m a big fan of iOttie and use their mounts exclusively. Living in a hot area, I was excited to try this cooling mount to prevent my phone from overheating. Unfortunately, it made no difference compared to a regular iOttie mount. I’m giving it three stars for build quality, but subtracting two for the ineffective cooling and high price.

I had an older generation iOttie wireless charging dash mount. It still works, but the cord is starting to wear out. When I got my new iPhone 14 pro, I knew I wanted to get a MagSafe dash mount instead. Clipping the phone into the old mount was easy, but it did take an extra step and other people often had trouble getting used to the mechanism. MagSafe is effortless and strong enough to hold my phone in place. It doesn’t jostle often, so most of the time it stays in place right where you placed it. Occasionally it might get slightly turned so it’s no sitting straight. The cooling mechanism has also been great. I’ve always had trouble on long road trips when the mount is sitting in the sun with my phone getting overheated. Even though the AC is on in the car, the combination of direct sunlight, black charger and dash, and the wireless charging would mean I’d have to pull my phone off the mount and cool it down in front of a vent. This is very inconvenient if I’m actively needing the GPS at that moment. I took a week long vacation road-trip where we were in the car for up to 12 hours. My phone never got overheated during that time. The trip was at the end of June and we drove through the mountains and desert with no issues. I’m very happy with this phone mount.

At best, it slows the bleeding, but if you are running Waze or Google Maps and playing music, it will keep losing charge. If you plugged it into a higher power charge port the result might be different, but by using the standard factory charge ports in your car it cannot keep up. The suction cup works well and the arm is reasonably adjustable.

Works as described. I had one issue after about a year of use where the head would move too easily and the phone would sag down. Realized the mount had small cracks around where the ball joint attaches. Submitted a warranty claim through iOttie’s website and they promptly sent me a new one. Was able to take apart the old unit to see how it worked and realized just how much though went into designing this thing so it cooled properly. Great quality and hopefully the new unit doesn’t have the same issue.

I like it for the ease of mounting the phone and how it keeps the phone cool. When I plug the cord directly into the provided USB for power/data, the charger does not stay charging. It flips off and on. There must be a certain amount of data it’s trying to send. I have it powered by the cigarette charger but this forfeits the Apple sync. To interface with the car’s touch screen and Apple, we unplug the power to this unit and plug the phone directly into the car. This turns off the cooling/charging function but still get the MagSafe strong magnet. 2017 Ford Edge

Worked for about 2 weeks. Unit does not hold it’s position. It charges fine and I never had any issues with the fan (although I’m not sure how effective it is anyway). Such a shame because I have their other phone mounts and they have been great. The decision not to include a way to tighten the the end that actually holds the phone is beyond baffling.

Excellent item I believe this is the best car mount mag charger on the market charges my iPhone really fast I work at a lumber yard so I got one of those dust things to go into your charging port on my phone and it’s such a pain to take it out and put it back in all other mag chargers for vehicles charged super slow even though they say fast charging my phone was at 50% yesterday and I put it on the new one for about 30 minutes and it built up to 88% definitely refer this to a friend it’s super sturdy and super easy to install took me less than 5 minutes it’s works phenomenal and the design of it almost looks like it came stock on the truck I drive.
