I bought these to have a valve job done by a local machine chop and when I brought these in to the machinist along with the head and components he stated they were garbage and he would feel much better about using the old valves even though they were heavily cartooned up. These Chinese sourced valves were so far out of concentric you could see it simply by turning them in your hand.

I was a bit worried about these as aftermarket parts and the price point they were at as these are precision parts that have no room for adjustment like on Chevy Small block engines. I had a broken valve on a 2008 Mini Cooper S Clubman and while I could have ordered a single valve, I wanted to replace all of them in order to do the job right. It’s not easy to get the heads off these cars, so to avoid having to do this again, I purchased this whole set. I did valve lap all the valves, which didn’t take much to ensure a good seal on each. Engine fired right up and I have no issues to report on these parts other than they seem to be perfectly fine for the car/head and would buy these again if I had another Mini Cooper that needed them.

I did like the price and the product. But the poor packaging ( valves individually wrapped in a thin plastic bag and boxed in a bubbly wrap is not enough ! ). In the shipping the valves knock each other and they got few scratch & scuff. I had to fix few of them with a file and a sandpaper. Luckily noting was dammage in the seal area. I feel like I paid too much for basic valves in a bad box.The intake and exhaust valves are all the same weight . But exhaust valves are 2 gram heavier than the stock one. Not sure if this a bad or good thing because one of my original exhaust valves burned. I lapped all the new valves and I found another badly seated valves I’m glad and changed all the valves. They may be cheap ,BUT hey ! they worked and still run fine in my Mini Cooper S 2009 after 3000km of driving hard. Final thought. Good working product for now, look of good quality. But the bad package can scratch and ruin a valve… Please Seller if you read this , ship the valves in a better protective box. Each valves should be . !!! please !!!
Edit . No issue . Bumped to 4 star .Still running great after 15k km .

Took to my local shop to have installed on my Mini Cooper s head and one of the valves was bent and not true.

Ok product but shoulders on valves thinner than factory valves even after being reground. Only used two exhaust valves out of set.

These fit perfectly, we’re good quality, and as of yet no signs of chipping bending or otherwise. Replaced entire set for 2010 MCS
