  • Includes one 5-pin SPDT relay module box with a 10-second time delay turn on feature, reliable and efficient electrical connections
  • The time postpone (10 seconds) turn on SPDT 5-pin electrical relay unit, rated at 12V DC with a maximum of 30-40AMP, is ideal for most heavy duty electronic devices, light applications between 9-16V DC, with a wattage not exceeding 160W
  • The relay controller box measures 1.65″ x 1.25″ x 1.25″ and features an approximately 10-second delay to turn on the light, making it ideal for most car/motorcycle retrofit lights without a switch or for those wanting to delay turn-on time to protect the battery or circuit/fuse, perfect for high wattage/power lighting
  • Perfect for power management, this relay harness is ideal for applications like high wattage horns drawing power directly from the battery to prevent excessive load on the vehicle’s existing wiring system and ensuring safe, easy on/off operation
  • Installation tip: directly plugs into most 4-pin or 5-pin relay sockets replacing conventional realy unit, and since the delay relay is polar sensitive, if it doesn’t trigger the light, simply flip the input wires around (see demo video)

I have make my own diagram for the delay on my daytime running lamps to save the battery before I start the engine.

I purchased these for my HID/LED headlight harness, to delay the start time and not interfere with startup. These would not work no matter how much I tried. I assume they are very low quality or wired wrong and my review rings true with others who say these don’t work.
I replaced with some adjustable hella variants and those have better results.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE AT ALL.

  3. BIlly Burton

Relay did not ever transfer power to Pin 87 even after waiting 10, 15, 20 seconds

Purchased this to stagger the start of my cooling fans. My 900 Turbo has a very common mod which runs both fans in cooling mode. But, with the engine idling and both fans kicked on simultaneously it damn near killed the engine! Adjusted some wiring in my fuse box to allow this to sit next to the stock cooling fan relay. Now when the radiator temp switch closes the main/right fan kicks on, but the Aux/AC/left fan doesn’t come on right away. Need both fans here in Vegas summer heat, but definitely didn’t need the electrical shock load – this did the trick and its a pretty accurate 10 seconds. Even 1 second would have been plenty, but 10 secs is fine.

Used for an air-horn add-on for my old pickup. This makes sure the compressor doesn’t kick on until after the truck has been started and the engine has smoothed out. Replaced a bad timer delay, and a separate relay module, with this. It made for a much simpler install and has worked great for over a year now.

Wont solve the flickering lights but itll solve the error messages you’ll get.

I bought this thinking it would solve the problem for hyper active lights and fast turn blinkers but all it did was solve the error message I kept getting which was helpful. But I realized I needed to actually buy an LED Conversion band for my wiring for LED’s to work

This was a perfect option for my classic car. Prior to installing, I was having issues with my stereo freezing up because the stereo was trying to boot up while I was trying continued starts of the engine.

Once I installed this I can ensure the stereo doesn’t attempt to boot while I am starting the car and I’ve had no issues with the stereo freezing up since.

Relay works as advertised, but the connector and wire pigtail shown in all of the photos isn’t included. Now I have to find one to finish the job.

I used this to delay the turn on of an aftermarket amplifier hooked to the speaker outputs of a stock 2016 Subaru. The car sends a nasty loud bass note through the stock speaker wiring when first starting the car.

This works perfectly to delay turn on and fixed my issue, but for some reason mine allows instant 6 to 7 volt bleed though until switching to 12volt at ten seconds. So if you plan to use this for a voltage sensitive item this could be an issue. As long as you need at least 12 volts, for that 10 seconds, this is good.

Just updating, sons been using this a while now, still works perfect. He no longer shakes the house each time he starts his car. I would recommend this to anyone needing that delay timer, but this will not replace say a standard fuel relay, etc.. even though Amazon’s search feature says otherwise. This is a completely custom product, perfect for what I needed. Also, the turn on can be either positive or negative depending on what post you use.

Sorry there are no pictures, didn’t think to take any… besides it’s a black plastic box I soldered wires onto, wrapped in shrink wrap. Rather dull looking.
