My original key and ignition were so worn down that I could pull my key out after I started the truck. Sometimes it wouldn’t turn though so it was time to get a new ignition. This was a perfect fit! Highly recommend it. My truck is a 2004 Tacoma double cab. Installation took only about 10 minutes. The only downside is that now I’ve got a key for the door entry and one for the ignition. A minor inconvenience that of course doesn’t reflect on the product, merely something to consider.

While this is a great deal on a lock cylinder and it does work, you won’t be able to rekey it to your factory key because the factory key won’t fit into the slot. It will work for now and we will buy another lock cylinder in the future to go back to just one key.
