I replaced the OEM filter canister on my 2022 GMC Denali 2500 HD with this. I felt the plastic was on the verge of stripping out so was happy to try this aluminum canister. I’ve got almost 5k miles since swap and all is good.

The housing installs and fits perfectly on my 2020 GMC 2500 Duramax 6.6l Diesel. Much better than the plastic factory housing. I could tell from my last change that the plastic factory housing socket bolt wasn’t going to last after only two prior chnages. This housing should be metal from the factory. Only issue with this product is the housing drain plug screw O Ring. It does fit will into the screw groove, probably too big, and it pushes out of the screw sides improperly. I set the O Ring as evenly as possible in the housing screw groove and gently tightened the screw until if looked as even as possible. I tightened down pretty good and do not intend to use this drain plug in the future out of fear the O Ring will fail. I will just use the socket bolt and deal with a little fuel leaking.

This billet fuel filter housing was a less-expensive alternative for replacing the OEM filter housing on my 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD, 6.6 Duramax. Easy to install, it fit perfectly and there were no leaks.

This is an awesome replacement for the factory plastic cap. The OEM cap frequently likes to strip when you use a socket on it. This aluminum cap solves that issue and seals nice. I recommend all 3.0 turbo diesel owners upgrade to this

Fit and finish is great, OEM and aftermarket filters snap into place not too loose and not too tight. Has a crush washer for the drain plug, hopefully I can get replacement washers in the future. Otherwise it’s a great product that won’t round off like the plastic housing. Also remember to lube the o-ring with diesel before torquing down. Only thing my 36mm socket fits tighter than the 1-7/16 socket for some reason not sure if that is a detractor since it says that it was supposed to be that socket size according to the description.

I saw quite a few reviews stating theirs leaked, that the O-ring was the problem. Not true. The O-ring is formed into a thick hard plastic washer to keep the O-ring from expanding when tightening. I snugged it up real good and she does not leak at all.
I did run the threads across my wire wheel on my bench grinder to smooth out a few burs from when the threads were cut into the aluminum…for kicks. Probably doesn’t matter, but I did it anyway.
