The original (red top) never quite fit correctly. It was always slipping out of the 12v socket. This newer version fixes that issue.

It works better than the original. Plug in the cooler, turn it to 0 degrees, let it sit overnight, load it the next morning. 10 hours in sweltering heat, not plugged in, arrived at destination and all the frozen food was still frozen.

This 12 volt plug is definitely a much better cord than the previous one. It is more sturdy and more rigid. The 90 degree design is definitely genius. Best of all it’s not disconnecting when you’re driving like the previous model.

Bought this for my ICECO cooler because the one that came with the cooler kept falling out. This is the upgraded one. It works much better! My only reason for 4 stars is “Why did I have to buy the upgraded one?”

I own two Iceco fridges, the VL45ProS for my camper and the 21QT GO20 for the backseat of my work truck. Both are excellent for my needs and have been trouble free. Had an issue with the old style car plug for the GO20 and Iceco customer service took care if it immediately. Great company that stand behind their products!

I do not have an Iceco fridge, but I did see a video about how it works better than the cheap ones that come with the cheap fridges. I can say it fits and stays in place much better than the cheap ones. It does not sag on its own weight when I have it plugged in. The fridge plug side is the same on this as all the rest I have ever seen. It definitely fits inside the car charger socket on my Bluetti ac180 power station than the old one and the only other thing that I have tried that worked really well was getting the Blue Sea car charger plug. I bought it to test it and replace the one that came with my fridge because it started splitting apart. It was about 3 years old. This one does not look like it can come apart without breaking it. The only thing better about this over the Blue Sea replacement plug is that this does not have to be put together by you to use it.
