My Tesla Model Y has a professional ceramic treatment. Hydrosilex waterless ceramic wash is an easy way to clean it without having to wash it.

I live in California and we’re in a drought right now. Although I would love nothing more than to spend a couple of hours washing and waxing my car every other weekend, I am being responsible and conserving water – so no home car washes. However, my black car attracts and shows so much dust that I have turned to waterless washes. There is a trick to using this product and others like it. First of all, the car has to be COOL. Don’t be like me and 15 minutes after you get home from driving, start spraying thinking it’s a good time to clean your car. Wrong! Just wait until the car and the temperature are completely cool. Like in the morning. Otherwise, you will get a sticky mess.
Second, clean in the shade. Third, use a microfiber towel. This is a must! Fourth, waterlass washes work best with dusty or lightly dirty cars.
Follow all of these and you will get a beautiful, just washed look. This particular waterless wash was joy to work with. It has a cool bubblegum smell and It does exactly as it promises and leaves such a nice shine. I will be bringing this on the road with me to do a quick wipe down.

This works great! To be fair, it’s the first waterless wash I’ve used, but the second Hydrosilex product as I also use the Recharge ceramic coating. This waterless detailer is perfect for in between washes where there’s just a light coating of dirt on the paint. Placed the bottle on the hood while working on a side panel. After cleaning the hood and placing the bottle back on a cleaned spot, it slid off like it was on ice.
Even smells like bubble gum. Sort of an odd choice, but the garage smells great now! I’d buy again, though I think a couple bucks cheaper would be more fair. Starting with a full bottle, I cleaned my Chevy Malibu from top to bottom (glass included) and the amount of product left in the bottle is just below the top line on the label. Should work for 5-7 more uses or more depending how much I apply. Probably didn’t need as much as I used the first time around.
The car basically looks and feels like I just reapplied the ceramic coating. Very cool.

My preferred usage of this product is as a spotless rinse. For washes inbetween waxings I apply this after a foam cannon wash and dry. This eats up any waterspots left behind and puts a nice gloss. Coating is decent but not silky smooth. I can get about 5-6 washes out of a bottle on my GMC Sierra and it’s wheels. I’m not wow’d but far from disappointed with this product. Very happy with the end results.

This product leaves heavy fatty residue on the glass, and no matter how hard you buff, still has that oily rainbow effect on the glass. I used Recharge and that one is fantastic! But this one (Waterless Wash) looks like I washed the car with the lard. I tried to buff it using different microfiber rags, and even paper towel. Still have those ugly oily streaks on the glass.
The worst part is the Customer Service. They advised to use Windex after their product to clean the windshield and other glass. And when I asked “What is the point of Waterless Wash if I have to use something else to clean the window? They said, quote: ” I would recommend to use the product strictly for the paint”. But on the bottle it clearly said that you can use it pretty much everywhere on your car, including glass. Confused. Disappointed. Do not recommend.
