I got the wrong part I had to buy a new one that if it’s right

The blower resistor I received is clearly a used resistor that looks to have been repaired (resoldered) after the fuse blew.

This is dangerous – and clearly a violation of the OEM part safety warnings which state resistor fuses are not to be repaired.

Returned for a refund. Will not buy here again, and I suggest shelling out for a OEM part. It’s not worth shorting/damage to your harness.

    Liked the product worked well

  4. Amazon Customer

got here on time and worked perfectly

Replaced it at the same time as the bad blower motor. In and out, no sweat. Blower works now.

So I ordered this item for a hyundai elantra 2002. Amazon showed it matching for my car, but it is not the correct one. It’s my fault for not verifying it. If I would have read the description from the seller, I would have known its not for my car. This is Amazon’s fault not the seller so I don’t knock them for it.

Either way I still hooked up this one and it works great for me it. I the only issue I have is it doesn’t go back into the mold of the older one I had. So I got it on there with some additional screw holes. It works and I didn’t want to return and wait for another.

This works great for what it supposed to do and I would recommend it to anyone who needs this part. For the price I think this is the best deal.

I needed a blower motor resistor for a 2003 Sonata LX. The computer has this part fitting my car. However, this resistor has 4 prongs. The resistor I removed only has 3. Hence, this part does not work with a 2003 Sonata LX. I went to NAPA auto parts and they had a new version of the 3 prong resistor for sale at $86, including tax. This part was made in China and looks quite different than the original part which was made in Mexico. Before you order a new resistor, take the old one out and you will see 3 prongs that plug the piece into the harness and an unusual top which is not a perfect rectangle. When you remove the original part you will immediately understand these words. In summary, do not order this part until you inspect the original. This will save you time and money.

The module does what it is supposed to. It cured my loss of medium and low fan blower settings on my 03’ Hyundai Elantra.
Reinstalling this unit up-under the glovebox is not a fun project. It doesn’t appear to be a direct fit, but getting the new one back in place is a lot harder then it looks. I would recommend a mirror, a bright flashlight, a short screw starter and a load of patience. I finally had to throw in the towel and break out the most powerful duct tape known to man. Problem solved. I don’t think it’s the modules fault. It’s Hyundai’s for the sucky location.
