It took a little while to install but it worked great. For the price I paid it was okay.

As many of the reviews for this product mention, these struts were not a proper fit for my 1996 Toyota Camry V6. I had to enlarge the mounting hole on the driver’s side strut and remove a small metal plate on it that was not on the original part. They also don’t sit flush against the frame of the engine compartment, and therefore don’t operate as smoothly as they should when closing the hood. However, they do the job of holding up the hood when you open it, which is really all I care about. OK for a cheap replacement, just be prepared to do some fashioning to make them fit.

These worked great, installed quickly (relatively). Make sure you prop your hood securely at its full open. I fought with mine a little on the passenger side, but it went after some arguing. They hold the hood perfectly and open and close nicely.

Thank you! Direct bolt on replacement for existing lift support. No modifications needed. It took me less than 15 minutes from start to finish to install them. I installed these on a 1996 Toyota Camry XLE model.
