After having two mechanics tell me that my MAF sensor was fine, and after trying to clean it myself using MAF sensor cleaner (even though it looked spotless), I grew tired of having to reset my MAF error codes nearly every day.
It got so bad I just left my OBDII reader plugged in 100% of the time so that I could reset it more easily.
Well, I slapped this new sensor in and no errors for the past month. We are happy campers!

My diesel truck began losing mpg and didn’t seem to have as much power. The longer I waited the worse it got. After researching online I suspected the mass air flow sensor was bad. I pulled the sensor on the truck to get the part number and this is an exact OM replacement. Once installed the power and mpg is back to normal. Very happy. Installed on a 2007 GMC 2500HD LBZ Duramax.

My original map sensor failed. GM wanted an arm and a leg for it. Did a little research and found hitachi uses the same sensor on some of their equipment. For a fraction of the cost I picked this one up. Been working fine for a couple 1000 km of driving now.
