Cleared my crankshaft position sensor code. Easy install, almost identical to the stock sensor. Great price and quality. Two months in, zero issues.

Worked for my 2012 Nissan xterra, and haven’t had any issues for 6+ months and counting. Had tried other, cheaper sensors that didn’t work, and when it comes to this sensor (and the camshaft sensors), it really sucks to find out they don’t work considering how painful they can be to install. If you’re doing it yourself like I did, make sure you seat the sensor in there perfectly: it’s very sensitive to how the sensor is seated, so if you have any trouble starting after you get it installed, try adjusting it a couple of times before throwing in the towel.

Quality Japanese product. Fit my 2013 Nissan Xterra Pro and fixed the stalling issue. Read that this is a problem with Xterras, no more stalling, since installed.

It fits and works as expected. Hitachi is the OEM brand for the Nissan VQ40 engine. I don’t anticipate any issues.

I purchased the Hitachi CPS0017 Engine Crankshaft Position Sensor for my vehicle, and I’m happy to say it works exactly as advertised. The sensor was easy to install and immediately solved the issues I was having with engine performance. The quality seems solid, and it fits perfectly. My car is running smoothly again, and I haven’t experienced any problems since installation. I would definitely buy this sensor again if needed and recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable replacement part.
