I had to do the rear struts for my hatch several years ago, and the “OEM” replacements I have got didn’t last all that long, and just a year ago they start weakening in the winter. As this is a giant metal hatch, it isn’t ideal for this to fail in any way, as you could seriously hurt someone including myself!
When I put these new struts in, I noticed they were a good bit stronger than the original ones that I had purchased for this. The tailgate flies up quicker in my opinion, which I like because the other ones were starting to get pretty slow in the winter.

These glass struts are by far superior to what the factory used. They are much stronger than OEM and well made. I can see these lasting for years and years. They ARE exact fit though so double check your application before ordering. I highly recommend these.

These were inexpensive, and easy to install. So far, they seem to be working great. Anybody that can use a rachet can install these. Highly recommend
