It is for a Ford truck, just how special can it be?? It did fit with no issues

The part fit my vehicle as expected. However, did not work for me. I installed it easily enough. Everything matched up pretty well. However, it did not open the latch when either handle was pulled. If I were to manage a guess, it is because it does not have the door clip to keep the cable from simply stretching. The image did not show one, which I overlooked, but the result is the same.
Before asked, yes, I tensioned the cable as far as possible before clicking it into place. I did the same for both latches. I simply think they dropped the ball by not including the tensioning and placement clip.
