Great filters so far. I feed mine with RO water and the TDS is basically close to zero. I think my TDS meter can’t read it properly. I use it as a final rinse for washing the cars. No chamois required! As an experiment, I’ll also use it for watering some new fig cuttings in the next few weeks. I usually use RO water.
They should last a long time at this rate.

Towel drying your car incorrectly can easily induce the swirls/spider webbing that detracts from your car’s paint/shine. If you can dry it without needing to hardly touch it at all with a towel, that will provide the best results. After rinsing with this water, you could pretty much blow dry your vehicle with an electric leaf blower, and it’ll be 90% dry without even touching it. (99% dry if the vehicle has a prior coating on it.) These canisters are 4.5″ x 20″ mixed also compatible with the bed CR Spotless DI water systems too! Easy to install and given my 150ppm TDS level, their chart says I can expect roughly around 550gal. of DI water. With only doing a final rinse after my regular PW rinse, and only using 4-5ga. per rinse, I’m going to be set for a while.

edit: These filters do work! My filter housing wasn’t tightened enough, so water was bypassing the filter. My filter housing didn’t leak, but I was able to get another turn which made a difference. I tested with the TDS meter and got 12 to 15 PPM after the filter! I’ll wash another car this weekend and I hope my rinse results are different.
Know in advance that these filters require a filter housing and fittings to hook up to your plumbing or garden hose. These filters are supposed to fit in a standard 4.5×20 housing, and I got these for washing and rinsing my car. I was hoping that the water would magically sheet off like I see in Youtube videos. It did not.
I tested my water with a TDS meter before the filter, and at the output of the filter housing. The readings were the same (179 ppm), so nothing is being caught by these filters. I ran the water very slowly and very quickly and didn’t see any difference with the meter.
I did remove the plastic wrap and label. I did use the foam washer that came with the filter. Tomorrow, I’ll remove the filter from the housing and see if they measure properly for my housing. If they are too short, that could let water bypass the filter. Whatever the problem, they aren’t working out of the box for me.
– Problem was fixed by tightening my filter housing!

Couldn’t test these filters as they came broken near the mount point and a fine material is spilled all over the box (and all over me when I opened it). It seemed to be boxed OK, but that being a weak point makes me worry for the quality and longevity of the filter as a whole – so that’s something to think about. Since it was broken, a glance at the media and filter looked OK but I unfortunately couldn’t make full use of it.
