Easy installation on a 2005 Scion xB, and there’s no need to remove the OEM actuator. Only reason why it’s not a 5-star rating: manually locking and unlocking the repaired door is a bit harder to do – but it’s been over a year and still works great!

I am using these in a DIY project that is NOT a car door. They all work as advertised and I don’t see why they wouldn’t work in about any door. I do NOT know if these are a direct replacement for any certain door. They come with screws and push bars and the actuator moves about .75 inch. I did NOT measure the pull or push force but they seem to be quite strong. I would estimate at least 5 pounds force.

We bought these for use in Halloween decorations, but when I saw a review that said they fit the 2005 Scion XB, I decided to multitask the critters. We fixed a broken door lock on the Scion and used another two on decorations. We still have one left over for any other future needs. We saved over 100 bucks fixing the Scion, so these are a great value.

So I was hesitant to review, as I utilized these for a project that was completely un-automotive…but as you sent 3 requests, I feel obligated.
These little actuators were more powerful than I had imagined, with extremely repeatable action and reliability! They always work!
I would buy them again, and would not hesitate to use them for the purpose for which they were designed because of the success I had with them! Nice job, great product!

Actuators came faster than expected. Used a 9V battery to test all before installation & all worked & felt strong. They feel to be made with good quality parts & should last a long time. It’s raining right now so I have to wait to put them in 🤣. Installation is easy (I have installed some before). Just make sure when installing that the rod isn’t in a bind & intalled as strait as possible to the motor so excess stress isn’t put on the motor.
Update: The rods that comes with the actuators are very thin & makes it hard to adjust for it to push or pull so make sure you can install it as strait as possible to your existing rod for your lock rods in the door.

Replaced similar in my 2004 XTerra, already had the wiring for the 4 doors, added 1 to the Trunk (guy here IN Costa Rica told me it was a complicated job, which wasn’t)… and it worked just fine!
