Was having the common issue of starting issues with my STX38. Was taking longer and longer to get it started. Wouldn’t send enough power to the solenoid to trip it and allow the starter to work. Was a little challenging to install as the directions are a little bit vague but if you read them carefully you can get it.
Once I installed and connected all the wires it immediately fired when I turned the key. I’ve been using it for over a year and it has never hesitated to start once. Starter fires immediately. Also has an LED on the top of the module so you can see when it’s getting power.

Used this on my Kabota tractor when the starting voltage started to drop due to aging of contacts in the numerous safety switches. This relay allows you to keep all safety systems in place but lets the started get a full 12 volts to crank. Simple fix to that inevitable “clicking: sound we sometimes get on older tractors.

They could do a better job on the instruction quality– very poor and difficult to read copy that looked like it was photocopied on a cheap black and white copier machine w/o gray but this is a minor irritant

Had to change the ends, but works fine.

I would give six stars if I could!! This is the perfect fix for my 185 John Deere mower. Sends more power to the solenoid and starts every time. I have been battling this intermittent starting for several years. Instructions are good, but I watched a Real Man Skills video that was very helpful. Took about 15 minutes or less to install. Worth every penny.

Our Ransome Highway 2130 was having starting issues with insufficent power getting to the Starter Solenoid due to voltage drop across all of the interlocks.
Found this solution on the John Deere forums.

Had to do modification on the connectors but this works brilliantly. Mower starts every time now.

I have a John Deere F525 that had the “click but no crank” issue. I tried several other methods to fix this (new battery, new solenoid, new relay, clean the contacts ect) with no luck. Once I installed this kit my problem was gone. All that work for nothing lol. Keep in mind this kit does NOT replace the existing starter relay, it is in addition to it. I mounted mine right next to the starter. The schematic that came with the kit was easy to follow and I didn’t even need the included instructions. Overall a great kit and I would buy again!

I have a 2005 Kubota GR2100 that worked great for about 10 years then the clicking started. I knew it was the solenoid which cannot be taken apart and contacts cleaned like the old 50’s and some 60’s car solenoid that lived on the inside fender well, I’m telling my age. Anyway I thought the issue was dirty/burnt contacts so over the last 15 years I have changed the solenoid about 8 times with OEM version and it always seemed to fix issue for a time then fails periodically. So I went to Utube and found a guy installing one of these on a larger Kabota and it all seemed to make sense. I just installed mine in about 20 minutes and it currently works great. Bear in mind, my issue was sporadic so hopefully my issue will never return. I agree with the reviewer that said instructions were terrible; only good part was schematic on back that showed I could use VOM meter to find out which purple wire went to the relay coil and which went to the solenoid so I could connect it correctly. You cannot rely on connectors to insure correct connection, especially if you put on a non-JD tractor. Anyway, I am pleased it worked and hope I never have to buy another solenoid or hear that terrible clicking sound.
UPDATE: I have used my tractor many times since adding the relay and it never fails and starts better. I wish i would have watched Utube years ago and saved buying a new starter and MANY solenoids over the years. One of the best buys I have made. I would give it more stars if i could.

Well built product and installs easily IF you just go to the last page of the instructions to see the wiring diagram . The pictures on the rest of the pages are dark and confusing. All in all it’s a great replacement for the light duty one .

My buddies Kubota B2100 was experiencing starting issues. I thought it might be a starter problem but research into the problem on Youtube suggested it was really caused by a lack of voltage to the starter from the long trip through all the safety switches and connectors. Several YT videos mentioned this relay so I looked it up on Amazon and read the reviews for it. Many tractor owners attested to it’s being the fix for their problems so I purchased it for my buddy and installed it.

The relay did indeed install quite easily once I determined which wire was what on the starter. Once installed this relay made a big difference to the ease of starting and the LED on the relay made it easy to verify that the interlock chain to the relay was complete.

Very happy with this purchase and my buddy now owes me a favor!
