The item is the correct size and Fit, however the functionality is not correct for my 2004 chevy Suburban. SAE standards is that the Left & Right Indicators should “blink” 60 to 120 times per minutes (1 blink every second at the very least). This unit does function, however the number of “blinks” is approx. 1 blink for every 3-4 seconds.. EXTREMELY slow. This unit does NOT work for my vehicle – 2004 Chevy Suburban.

  2. Linda Tsiatsios

So… it does get rid of hyper flash from LED bulbs but it has a 2 second delay when you activate your turn signal. Those 2 seconds could save you from getting into a collision, especially with highway lane changes.

The media could not be loaded.

I bought this skeptical from other reviews sayin there was a 2 to 3 second delay ,well I installed in a 2003 silverado 2500 hd and 😁😁😁😁Im very happy works great saved over 50 bucks not buyin from autozone

  4. ‘Nole Fan

Perfect right out the box. Plug & Play for my ’06 Sierra and no hyper-flashing. I am not experiencing any issues with delayed blinking when the turn signal is selected. Timing is the same as factory, just a little bit louder “clicking” from this model then the OEM.

Worked great with my led lights, a little slow but it was the cheapest one

It works as intended. It slowed down the really fast blinking from my LED turn signal upgrade, but now they blink extremely slowly. I’m thinking about putting the old relay back in.

I bought this product to stop the hyperflash problem with installing LED bulbs. It’s not hyperflashing anymore but, it’s now flashing so slow you cant tell if its on about a 3 second delay between flashes. So it didn’t really fix anything just made a new problem, don’t get me wrong it does work just not well.
    ***REVISED***
So I replaced the rest of my bulbs with LED to see if it helped and it did works great now only thing I can think of is one regular bulb must have been going bad or it only works as all LED But it does work.

I guarantee you that the people saying that there is now a delay with the turn signal are basing this off of the sound instead of the actual flash.

Because of the price, I was worried about the quality and the reviews from people saying that there’s now a 1-2 second delay, but for $20 with free returns, it was worth a shot.

After installing the relay, I checked to see how long of a delay (if any) was now present. I did so inside of my garage with the lights off and the door closed so I could see when the lights actually flash.

When I activated the turn signal, the lights turn on instantly at the same time as the signal(s) on the dashboard, BUT, the clicking sound of the relay takes 1-2 seconds to begin, starting on the second flash. Which is what’s likely causing people to think that there’s a delay when there isn’t.

It wasn’t until after reading the comments, ordering the relay and going for a drive, did I even notice how long after activating the turn signal does it take me to even start changing lanes.

I’m actually now more concerned with the number of people who find this as an issue… I say this because unless you wait to activate your turn signal until you are literally in the process of changing lanes or turning (and god help us all if so,) you’ll be fine…

The only difference between this relay and the OEM relay is the pitch and maybe loudness of the click (for the better imo)

It’s a higher pitch/louder click which at first I thought was going to become annoying. But, after driving with it for a bit, I like it a lot more. It’s easier to hear even with a MagnaFlow dual exhaust and the radio on.

I ain’t a geezer, but I, like most people, have been guilty of accidentally leaving the turn signal on here and there. I honestly don’t see that happening again unless I were to be blasting music.

Unless you’re someone who has a daily commute who gets stuck trying to turn at an intersection for 15+ minutes EVERYDAY, the sound is likely to be a positive rather than a negative.

I left such a long and detailed review because I obviously didn’t have anything better to do, and cause I hate buying name brand or OEM products when I can save a ton of money on off-brand parts. It only gets better when you’re able to find crazy cheap “Chinese” off-brands like this relay. And I like seeing other people saving money too…

The best reviewed off-brand relays were all around $40 (which I would’ve been happy with,) but to save another $20 is just the icing on the cake. The extra savings basically paid for the 2 pairs of turn signal LED bulbs I bought as well.

Remember, saving money is making money…
