Almost took longer to cut the packaging open then to install. Good instructions, shipped within a few days. Go ahead and fix your lift gate in under 15 minutes. Tools needed flat head screw driver, 6′ ladder to rest your hatch on, snips to cut open the packing.

working good so far…No marking or CE labels

Great Product! SUPER EASY INSTALL!

The product fit and performs as advertised
However, the struts are packaged poorly. The struts are meant to be held in the compressed position by nylon shipping straps. One which split and allowed the strut to expand. These are impossible to compress by hand. Fortunately, I was able to it with a bar clamp and rescue it for installation. Metal banding would be more secure.

I bought these for a 2014 Tucson. As you can see in the photo, they are about 3/4″ longer than the factory strut. This caused a problem for me when I tried installing the first one. I couldn’t get the hatch open high enough to fit the strut on the ball joint. The fix is to remove BOTH of the old struts before you try installing these. It was the other old strut that kept the hatch from rising enough. With both old struts removed, installation was a breeze.

The length of the cylinder was somewhat shorter that the OEM so I was concerned that it wouldn’t be a good replacement . However, the overall length of the cylinder + piston matched the OEM so I went ahead and installed them. they work fine

The fit perfect with no issues. I installed them in about 10 minutes. Don’t forget they are shocks, so when you cut the ties, prepare for them to open. You want to install with the gate fully open and is pretty quick.
