I have a 2009 Jeep Patriot. I saw that my positive terminal clamp connector was cracked and decided to replace both. After replacing, my car threw code P1607, which could be a variety of things, one being that the car is receiving low voltage from the battery. I tested the voltage of my battery, and my battery was fine. (I knew was fine anyways because I had just charged/reconditioned it with my NoCo Genius 10). I couldn’t figure out the problem, but since the only variable that has changed was the terminal connectors, I decided to take them off and replace them with the old ones.
Lo and behold, the code disappeared.
Not worth my time. The cracked one works better.
