I have tried my share of these panel prep products and this is the best to me. It’s strong enough which is always the issue with them. I have made my own 20 times as different dilutions of IPA and personally I think people use too weak of a solution. I don’t know how much is in this one but more than the others and the reason it’s better than making it is it’s a one pass product. It’s spray, wipe and then buff one time and it’s done. Whatever they add to the IPA let’s it clean a little better than straight IPA diluted. Not cheap but you can get 5-7 cars out of 16 ounces. I’m a fan of this product.

I use this all the time for cleaning paint before coating with ceramic coat, or for cleaning glass before retreating with hydrophobic coating.
Does exactly what they claim, and covers way more area than they suggest.

Terrible product avoid it at all costs!
It damaged the paint on the center caps on my newly refurbished wheels.
The product is only compatible with certain paint types. Not sure how anyone can tell what type paint is on a vehicle by looking at it. I contacted the manufacturer and they were not interested in the slightest. Offered no help at all. All I got was excuse’s! They basically said I should of checked the paint type first before applying it! Unless you can chemically analyze the paint prior to make sure I struggle to see how you could find out. 90% of vehicles will have had some paint repair in it’s life!
Best to just avoid this panel wipe altogether to avoid damaging your vehicle!

this is expensive when you consider you could get a bottle of isopropyl alcohol much cheeper and it does the same job just as well

In the past I have always used Meguiars “Wash Plus” shampoo as a means of “deep cleaning “ car paintwork to remove old layers of wax/polish etc, and have always found it very effective. I then happened to come across this Gtechniq panel wipe and thought it might be worth trying. Happy to say it was, achieved the same results as with the Meguiars but in far less time. Literally a spray on and wipe off is all that’s needed. Used on my car bonnet which still had some residue of spray sealant and was still producing some limited beading , but after using the panel wipe all traces were removed, water remained flat on the paintwork. This then made re-applying the spray sealant easier and more effective. Very pleased with the results.
