Let’s start by saying three stars is a bit harsh as an overall rating. This is a good soap, but Let’s score the good and the bad in sub categories and I’ll explain the three stars.
Bubbles: 1 ☆ because they are almost non existent.
Slickness/lubricity: 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ it is very slick and will help reduce scratches.
Smell: 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ smell is amazing and reminded me of grape 🍇 Cool-aid from when I was a kid.
Foam cannon performance: 1 ☆ because it basically doesn’t foam at all and I wouldn’t recommend using it in a foam cannon.
Cleaning power: 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ it cleans very well
Water beading ability 4 ☆☆☆☆
Shine: 5 ☆☆☆☆☆
Ceramic coating ability: 3 ☆☆☆ it’s “OK” in this department, not great
I work with a lot of high end ceramics in my business, but I do test out cheaper products from time to time to try and help my out of pocket cost. This soap is a decent soap and was worth $25 but I wouldn’t put it head to head with Ethos or other very good ceramic car soap/shampoo products because it just wouldn’t hold up next to their performance.
It is good for a DIYer washing their vehicle at home, but nowhere close to a professional level ceramic car shampoo. Don’t get me wrong, I do like it and will be using this jug up, just on my own vehicles and not on any of my clients vehicles.
Is it good for the average person wanting a decent ceramic soap that smells off the chain and cleans, shines and leaves some protective coating? Yes.
For someone looking for a cheap alternative to high priced ceramics, this would be a good choice.
If you can find it at $25 to $35 , snatch you up a jug and enjoy.
