Works well, seems to be built well and is lithium compatible with LiFePo4. Actively cooled, although I wish it gave a bit more manual control over charge parameters, but either way, a commodity lifepo4 charger is hard to come by and this one does the job well enough.

This golf cart charger is small but powerful. I used it to replace my large and heavy original 36-volt charger. The “crow foot” plug fits just like my original charger cable and it charges my cart batteries overnight and keeps them “topped-off”. A big improvement.

My e-bike, which came with a 280Wh battery, came with a 1.5 Amp charger. Point blank, the charger that came with my bike was too slow.
Then, I decided to build a bigger battery for my e-bike out of LiFePO4 batteries. Using a grand total of 6 12Ah 12VDC LiFePO4 batteries (2 banks of 3 batteries in series), I built a 900+Wh battery. The first few times I ran the bike, it performed beautifully. But to charge it, I was removing the batteries from the bike every night, charging them, then re-installing them all and re-hooking up all the wires.
Whew.
So, needless to say, I was in need of a charger that could handle my battery bank with the speed I wanted, PLUS it had to handle LiFePO4 batteries, and thus be safe to use.
Then I saw THIS little delight. And in no uncertain terms, it’s PERFECT for what I needed. I charge all the way up to 18 amps, which is only 3 amps per battery, which is a 1/4C charge rate, which is actually the PERFECT charge rate for battery longevity and is exactly what I needed for my 36V LiFePO4 battery bank. It’s like this charger was made for my custom e-bike, and I couldn’t be happier. All I had to do was cut off the big alligator clip leads and solder on an XT90 connector to match my bike battery. Took me all of 5 minutes, and it works GREAT. No more taking all the batteries out to charge them!
In case you’re curious what my range is with my new battery, the old battery was good for 25 miles on pedal assist mode. Rated, anyway. My new battery will do 75 miles on pedal assist, and 40+ on throttle. I now use my original battery as an “emergency backup”, and combined the 2 batteries give me around 100 miles of range on pedal assist and 60+ miles on nothing but throttle. Which is pretty groovy, if you ask me.
One great part about this charger is the fact it’ll also do 48v, so if I ever upgrade from a 36v system to a 48v system, this charger is everything I need already. Big plus, and that was a big consideration when I picked it, because I might one day upgrade or even build another bike.
The build of it is just phenomenal. Even the accessories like the alligator clips and golf-cart plug in are good quality. In short, I have no complaints about this at all, and it’s exactly what I needed. If you need to charge a 36v (or 48v) bank of LiFePO4 batteries (or Lithium, or even Lead Acid), this is a great little unit to get the job done. It does exactly what I need it to do, and it does it without complaint. 5 stars.
