i would have given it 5 stars but nowhere was i told the e.c.m. must be reprogramed with a tech 2 at a dealer for the valve to work also ck. engine light will come on from time to time

Took about 10 minutes to install & saved about $400 from the dealership. I had “Service Traction Control” & “Service Stabilitrak” showing up on my 2008 Chevy Equinox LT & installing this fixed both of them. Disconnected the battery for about 5 minutes after I installed it & it cleared all of the alarms out. Everything fit perfectly!

I bought this kit because my 05 Chevy Equinox EGR pipe rupture (kinda just vibrated into pieces, and the cab reeked of exhaust). Found out that 05-06 Equinox’s had a technical bulletin to update the valve, which meant that the part I actually needed (the EGR pipe) is no longer made; the price of a refurbished part from a vehicle that was updated costs the same as this kit, if not more.
So I got this kit, ripped out the old, and slapped in the new. It was pretty easy as long as you pay attention to the wiring (it comes with a diagram and shrink/crimp tubes so you don’t have to solder). Also, I have not needed to re-flash the PCM to prevent any sort of “check engine” light; I just cleared the codes and was good to go.
PROTIP: Save the 3 bolts around the valve itself as they are not included (2 that mount the valve, and the 1 that fastens the pipe to the valve; I sheared off the latter, but I took the valve to Ace Hardware to size up a new one- I can’t remember, but it may have been a M8-1.25 x 25mm bolt.)

Great price and easy to put on.
These parts upgraded my 2005 chevy equinox with no problems or codes. I disconnected the battery for a few mins cleared everything out and now runs like a champ…

I got this in three days. I removed it from the box and it had everything except the gasket that goes from the EGR itself to the intake manifold. Fortunately the old gasket came off in one piece and was not damaged……so I re-used it.
Otherwise, the kit was easy to install.
BE SURE to pay close attention to the wiring instructions provided and only do ONE wire at a time to avoid any issues as there are two grey wires out of the five on the harness.
I cleared the code and the light did not come back on……….some people will have to have the new EGR re-calibrated.
Four stars due to missing gasket.

Very easy to install. Total time between removing old parts, searching for my wire cutters, letting my dogs outside, and installing the new parts was about an hour. Only took about 10-15 minutes of actual work though! Everything fit very nice, no trouble getting pieces to line up. I disconnected my battery prior to wiring in the new pig tail (make sure you mark the gray wires before cutting them both, or just cut 1 at a time) and there was no need to reprogram the PCM. All in all, well worth the money. Saved about $150 doing it myself

Just ordered part, received it in 2 days! Quick fix, saved a lot of money on part and service costs. Easy istallation, all common sense. Only complaint I could possibly give is wires were not color coordinated, but that doesn’t take a genius to work out! Will be ordering from ACDelco for other needed parts!
