I bought this unit to replace my stock unit in the hopes that it would fix my “Hyper Flash problem that started when I replaced my tail/stop/turn signal lights on the rear of my Silverado with aftermarket LED units. Sadly it does NOT solve the hyper flash problem. It does however fit my truck and work as stock, so that’s not the fault of the seller or Amazon. I had read in forums elsewhere on the web where they suggested it as a fix for the hyper flash issues, as opposed to installing load resistors on my tail lights which I would rather not do. Sadly it does not, and now I have a spare flasher I don’t need… I gave it a 4 stars ONLY because it did not solve my Hyper Flash issues. -=Guy=-

Fixed the issue of hazards turning on when I’m signaling left. I did this in my 2005 suburban 1500 z71. The blinker is incredibly fast compared to what was in it. But, I saved $10 over p/n 10383321 that technically should have gone in. And I honestly don’t care, as long as it lets people know where I’m going.
Tilt steering wheel all the way down. Don’t start vehicle, turn key to “on” and put shifter all the way to “1” or however far down it’ll go.Take the plastics off that surround the instrument cluster. (A good tug should do it, otherwise a flat blade screwdriver will work.)
There’s two 7mm screws that holds the knee plate on. Right next to obd2 and far right next to the center console. Remove screws and pull on plate straight toward seat.
The flasher is on the back side of the fuse box. There’s a rectangle cut out in the plastics to the left of the steering column.
Removing is annoying. It’s quite snug. Just wiggle up and down and pull towards passenger side.
Insert new flasher. The two oddball pins on the flasher should be on the bottom.

Seemed to be right part but might have been faulty. Puts my lights into super turn signal mode and I’ve double checked all possible causes. Led lights etc it works though.

TAKE YOUR OLD ONE OUT FIRST — I had ordered one blindly and not noticed there were several options. remove the front panel and it sits up and front of your belt buckle. it only took a few minutes to change. they shipped a different number than I had ordered — but it worked. The other unit worked too, but blinked really fast, real fast.

Arrived in sealed package, as if straight off the shelf. Installation was as easy & as difficult as you’ll find on the on-line videos. My emergency flashers had suddenly turned themselves on one day, and the local mechanic’s “repair” was to remove the fuse, knocking out the indicators/blinkers as well. Not a fix until the relay got replaced. It does fit in my ’04 Silverado 1500 Z71 and did the trick. HOWEVER, it does exactly what the majority of the reviews on-line claim: The flash-rate is MUCH faster, the “click” of the indicators is MUCH louder. The original GM relay is “2/4”, this is “3/6” but GM, in their “wisdom” (not), no longer make the original (the PN I can’t recall at the moment), so we’re stuck. I’m going to look into Novita LM487 Flasher and give that a try. Seems to be the better part for the job. Costs a little bit more and I probably should have gone for that in the first place, but I saw “AC Delco” and “GM” and trusted that. As I say, it works, I’ve got my flashers/indicators back… at “disco strobe light” rapidity! If nothing else, it makes the statement: I’M TURNING HERE!
