I found a YouTube video on how to replace it. Looked easy enough. Unhooked 4 clips, lifted the top, popped out the old and in the new. Tried to hook one of the back clips back on and the plastic piece came off. I thought I broke it. After looking at the other back clip, I decided it had just come off the wire. It took a bit of fiddling with it to get it snapped back on the wire. I hooked the front clips first, then the back ones went on easier. That was it! I also replaced my cabin filter after looking at a video and that was even easier.

That being said – I don’t appreciate the Amazon sticker being slapped RIGHT on top of Honda’s sticker. I ended up having a fitment issue (my Honda Fit came to me with a Honda CRZ intake!) Which is not Amazon’s fault, they did in fact send me the right filter, and I eventually installed a factory Fit intake along with this filter… but, the fact that I was blocked from double checking the part number by this dumb sticker was not appreciated, made me very upset at the time.

This is a Honda part, so fit and performance will not be a problem. Replacing it in your Honda Fit requires no tools. I highly recommend a youtube video with “DIY” in the title to show you how. In summary, you disconnect one cable connector (this is for the mass air sensor in the cover assembly), remove two clamps in front, and two in back, and lift the cover assembly up and toward you. The old filter comes out, the new filter goes in. A tab in front shows you how to orient it. Then you replace the cover assembly by placing the large round piece in the rear into the round fitting immediately behind the cover, put the four clamps in place, and attach the cable connector. A few minutes of your time will save significant dollars over the dealer or shop cost. On another note, replacing your own cabin air filter is another no-tool service job you can do yourself.

I just got back from a very widely known oil change place and they charge $18 to replace this. It’s less to have the shop do this for you than do it yourself. Idk why I keep buying this part but it’s the last time. Fits and functions fine, but check with your oil change place how much they’ll charge because chances are theres no point in doing it yourself.

Check the part number! Although the part was stated as a match for my vehicle it was not.
There are numerous Honda parts sites online. My suggestion is to search one of those to validate the part number first.
When the correct part number was typed in to the Amazon search. The correct genuine Honda part was not found. However numerous correct after market parts were shown. Word to the wise.
