i went to a old chevy dealer no longer a chevy dealer, but knew what to do. they drained the old oil, put a cleaner in, then a cleaner neturzier as a rinse then put new oil. they told me to drive a few miles then try turnes. Amaising it worked no noise in lock to lock turns.

Bottles came with ACDelco labels, exactly what you would get from the dealer. Remember these are 16.9 fl. oz. meaning they are 1/2 liter. You will need 4 of them to fill up the RDM, 8 bottles if you change the oil the first time, do the circle driving for 20 mins, then change the oil again like the GM Technical Service Bulletin for “groan in rear end” calls for. Pricey, but I think this may be $35 per bottle at the dealer.

WARNING: These are 500ML bottles (little over half a quart). I was experiencing a roaring sound coming from my rear differential on my Buick Rendezvous. Sounded almost as if your driving at higher speeds with 4WD engaged on a different vehicle. After doing my research, I found out its a common problem once the fluid gets dirty and needs to be changed as the vehicle age. After changing the fluid out with this Versatrak fluid, my rear diff was silent again. No complaints with this fluid, except for the fact that you have to buy it in 500ML bottles instead of quarts.

This stuff did fix the groan when making hard turns. As you know, it’s retardedly expensive though…. oh and it smells horrible.

This is the original GM part required in versatrak rears. I changed it out as called for. GM now says it should be changed and driven a while then changed again. I only did it once and it took out most of the moan. I will probably order again. Fast shipping and fair price. If your versatrak rear makes noise this may fix it.

Very expensive and rather useless. This did not quiet the moaning sound that my 2003 Buick Rendezvous makes in sharp turns, even though I went through all of the ridiculous process of flushing, filling, driving in circles, draining, refilling, etc. The car has 145K miles on it, and I guess that I just have to live with the moaning. Anyhow, the AWD system is one of the several poor design decisions that plague this vehicle, which include the wheel hub assemblies, etc.
