Amazon Customer –
I took the item to the GM dealer to have the switch built. They mentioned it should have arrived with pins and more springs. The box (not shipping box) that contained the switch was not taped closed. All items that arrived where given to the GM dealer. Product did work fine when it was built.

It works, but disks not included. Locksmith had to transfer from old key cylinder.

I used the old cylinder, old pins, and new tumbler. Perfect!

This was a perfect replacement part for my 2004 Corvette. I disassembled the console (the C5 console was easier to disassemble than my former C4 Vette’s console), unplugged the old ignition switch (don’t forget to “unlock” it with the key), removed the old ignition switch, took the old ignition switch, the new ignition switch and the car key to our local locksmith shop (they coded the new ignition switch for $30), put the new ignition switch in (tested it before reassembling everything), and then reassembled the console. Perfect! So far, so good. (Sorry for the silly commentary in the video….I was excited it worked perfectly without issue, and I was no longer going to have security issues.)

I had my lock cylinder seize and the ignition switch no longer rotated. This was just what was needed…
I see a lot of folks asking about re programing the lock cylinder, just have a locksmith re-key the new lock to your original key. No programing was necessary and the re-key was $34.95 and done in an hour. Part is factory AC/Delco and arrived in 2 days.

DON’T BUY. The unit worked intermittently, which made it more difficult to figure out why my car was sometime starting. After changing some other part, the starter and clutch position switch. I took the car to a repair shop. It took them a week to figure out the unit was bad.
