    Finally installed the kit. The chain looked a bit more stretched than the original one but I still installed it by the marks. Confirmed with the Ford technician before putting everything back together. The vehicle started well and ran well for about 20 minutes. After that right side tensioner failed to operate and now the engine makes a clunking noise from the right head. The chain jumped by one tooth as well. I do not recommend buying this product unless you have extra money for the engine rebuilt, Period!!!

    Terrible quality and gaskets didn’t fit. Lower timing gear had sleg on it, and was missing a rub rail.

    Don’t usually write reviews and was skeptical about buying aftermarket cam phasers after reading several reviews on others and various sites. Number one cause of cam failure is oil pressure issues. This was purchased for an unknown condition vehicle so did not want to put a bunch of money into it to try to get it running. We installed this kit, a different oil pump (m360) as well as dropped the oil pan to clean the screen and pan of broken chain guide bits. During install I torqued the cam phaser a bit more that recommended specs. I also doused everything in oil before re installing the valve covers. Since install the vehicle has been driven over 1000 miles with no issues. Regardless if you buy aftermarket or OEM do yourself a favor and drop the oil pan to clean. The oil gauge on these vehicles is a simple on/off switch with dummy gauge that shows no pressure at about 7psi- or about 1/2 on the gauge if above. It takes about 28psi to properly operate the cam phaser. It can appear you have proper oil pressure even though flow is greatly restricted. The picture is what plastic (metal from chain hitting timing cover) was removed from the oil pan- upper portion with quarter is from the sump screen alone/bottom was in the pan. If you don’t clean out the pan and screen your waisting your time. My only gripe with this or any other kit is they should include the oil pan gasket (would indicate you should pull the pan) as I think a full kit would remove a good portion of negative reviews. Will update if they fail in the short term but so far so good.
