If you have the new style of fuel filler (see photo) then this cap will not be of any use. It can only be used with the old screw-in type.

The info I entered (filtered info) regarding my truck type(2015, 2500 RAM) indicated it would fit my truck. BS- it did not, too big, did not fit and could not close fuel door. Sent BACK..
