Trust me on this — Stick with an official OEM gas cap like this one. I tried three different non-Toyota brands, and all failed to resolve a system pressure error code. As soon as I bought an OEM gas cap, the problem went away and has been gone for months now. My mechanic warned me not to buy a 3rd party cap because they never work, but the prices were too enticing to not at least try. Oops.

I had heard that ordering an OEM gas cap was advised when you have a small Evap system leak, so that’s what I did. It seems to seal better than the old worn out gas cap, but the check engine light hasn’t gone out yet. I may need to clear the code with my scanner.

I am very happy that when the inspection was done it pass with flying colors. before the auto part store gave me the wrong brand and the vehicle kept failing. But once I replaced the gas cap with the original it was great to know it pass inspection. I give this company 2 thumbs up.
