Did not fit my old Eagle 5 gal metal gas cans. It did screw on my 2 1/2 gal Eagle can but the plastic nut is so deep that when the bottom of the nut was against the can the nozzle was still to loose to seal and was the same way with 1 of my newer plastic containers. Out of the 6 gas can/containers I have it worked for 1.

A Camel (as I was told as a young man) was a horse, designed by a committee. So are our gas cans.
I no longer have the hand strength to press this and mash that to get them to work right.
This, fixes that. Good quality and even found the drill bit for the vent plugs (inside the long, bright yellow flex tube, Can’t miss it… I almost did).
Also comes with 3 of the old style screw vent caps (Not to be mistaken for the flex tube cap).
As long as we have big “Committees” – we will need sellers of things to make them work well again!

great retrofit for complicated and fiddly government “nanny state” safety spouts. The provided drill bit allows for easy installation of the vents included with kit. Even came with a screw down nozzle cap. Very pleased with the value, functionality, fit, and quality.

Note that these are 3/4″ nozzles which are fine if you’re using a 1 or 2 gallon can for trimmers, chainsaws, blowers, etc., or if you need it to fit the gas inlet on your car, but if you’re using it to put 5 gallons into your mower, the better option is to find a 1″ replacement nozzle. Even with 2 air vents installed, it takes a long time to empty compared to a larger nozzle and, let’s face it, the only reason you’re likely to order this product is because you’re tired of taking forever emptying your “Smart Can” that some idiot designed to somehow “save the environment” but actually creates more spills than the traditional cans (nozzles).

Nice product but I realized the nut is to small on most gas cans. Half the nuts work on your average 5 gallon plastic can. 1 gallon plastic gas can the same. 3 nuts y’all never use.

This product has saved the world; I waste almost no gas with this up-grade unlike the “Eco friendly” spouts that spills gas everywhere.
