I have both a V8 and V11 Dyson. I can use the V11 Motobar in my V8, and likewise, I can use the V8 one in the V11. They look almost identical and are about the same size. Even the brush bars are almost the same size. My V8 Motobar is an original Dyson Motobar, but it is not the one that came with the V8.
However, the actual brush bars are different and are not interchangeable. If you look down the brush bar, you can see they each have different moldings on how they connect to the Motobar motor. This brush bar only fits my V8 Motobar and not the V11. It’s a slightly tighter fit than the original brush bar, but it seems to work fine.
You 100% need to ensure you have the correct Motobar number for this to fit (if yours doesn’t have the red detangle vanes, it won’t fit); even if they look identical, they are not. Overall, other than being slightly larger than the original one, it has been working fine, just as well as the original. It is well made and should last a long time. So far, I’m happy with it.

This fits the Dyson V8 Motorhead nicely. It seems to be a perfect replacement for the original bar. It does a good job picking up dust and hair. After a bit of use, the veins still seem to have most of their hairs intact. So it seems to be pretty well made.
It’s made out of nice rigid plastic and it spins really nicely on its bearing. Overall. Very happy with this vacuum bar and would definitely recommend it.

its hard to tell online cuz they all look the same. i havent been able to find the manual for the dyson so i took a gamble. and i lost. this replacement one is bigger.
anyway just so others know you do not need a screw driver to switch out the bead bar. a loonie works great because dyson designed it to be replace able with out tools. gotta love that. im glad i got this even if it is the wrong one. it got me to dismantle the head and wow. its dirty. filthy actually. all this dust around the wheel, that can only be accessible by removing the bead bar from the side slot, was in clumps. it was so gross but satisfying.
i thought maybe i could switch out the bristles but no. they are in bigger slots. in order to remove them you need to saw the bar.
as for this no tangle head feature they are claiming. it is a hoax. our dyson has this “anti hair” roller blades and there was all kinds of hair wrapped around the roller. even down where the spin mechanism is. there was even ribbon chalked up in there.
the dysons are pretty great. but they only run for 20 minutes. they are basically dust busters on steroids. good for small or quick jobs. they are not for a real house cleaning, the rechargeable ones anyway. the plug in ones are a different story.

Fits my V8 bar well! Glides effortlessly across my floor. I was worried before that I’d need to get a whole new vacuum but I love that I can purchase specific little parts to replace when they become faulty. This really renovated my cleaning experience

Unfortunately the FUNTECK Anti-Tangle Brush Bar with End Cap for Dyson did not quite fit on the my V7. It is just a tad too thick but with some adjustment might work but I didn’t want to force it. The bristles are made from hard-wearing nylon and the quality is excellent but it doesn’t attach well.

Description of what head it fits is very confusing. If you don’t live near a UPS store, then it’s not a free refund. They want to charge shipping to print your own mailing label.

Unfortunately, this product wasn’t dimensionally manufactured for a proper fit. It was not usable for our Dyson V7.
