UAA 1 –
The filter itself seems to be alright: it fit my 2003 Camry, and the quality seems to be ok. I’m giving it 4/5 stars for the following 3 reasons:
1. The box it came in was quite beat up (no signs of damage on the Amazon packaging, so I believe it was already like this when it shipped);
2. The filter has padding/isolation on only 2 of its 4 sides. The filter I was replacing had isolative material on all 4 sides (see pics). I don’t think it’ll make a noticable difference in terms of air quality, but some extra dust and dirt might pass into the blower and ducts over time.
3. The filter doesn’t have any printed airflow direction or up arrow… Trying to apply logic to how it “should be” installed, I decided that “up” (top-down airflow) is when the ends of the filter are facing like this: \/\…/\/, and “down” would be like this /\/…\/\. My reasoning was that this orientation should help catch more debris on the edges of the filter.

I can’t believe that when I changed my cabin air filter, that it would make a difference in air flow with my cars air conditioning. It was easy to install. Performance and quality are exactly what I wanted. The fit was perfect. I would totally recommend this filter and also how important it is to change your cabin air filter when recommend.
