This air filter was super easy to install on a C450 and took only a couple of minutes. Compared to a mechanic who would likely charge you four times the price of this filter, it’s a steal! The air filter itself feels very close to OEM and has no strange smells or particles.

This filter is a nearly perfect fit / comparison to the OEM original, just sightly different geometry in the notched end. Despite the slightly change in shape it was a 1:1 swap that installed without issue. Everything else compares to original equipment. The rigidity is a little different but it made very little difference during the install. Pricewise this seems in line with all the other aftermarket filter options.
Note that the GLC chassis has two cabin air filters – one under the hood which is rectangular, and one under the passenger side dashboard/footwell area that is notched. This one is obviously the under-dash cabin filter.
