Although I had read the reviews and I knew it was hit or miss, I decided to try this gas cap to get rid of the “check fuel cap” message on my 2005 CR-V. When I got this I inspected it and it’s looked like my old one with no damage or defects, and when I screwed it on to my car it felt like it fit okay & clicked like it was supposed to. I couldn’t figure out how to attach the tether to my car but that wasn’t a very big deal so I used it anyway, but the most important thing was that after I drove my car for a week, the “Check Fuel Cap” message never went away. So, for me this was a miss.

I have an evap code error and my check engine light came on. I read that sometimes it’s as easy to fix as replacing the gas cap. So I went online and starting shopping for a new fuel cap. I compared prices from different websites and this was the best! I got the cap today and popped it on there. Fit great. And now I just cross my fingers and hope the check engine light stays off!

Sit on my vehicle no issues.

Gasket doesn’t seal well, caused check engine light to come on. Had to spray liberally with lithium grease to get it to seal.

Was getting the “Check Fuel Cap” message on dash. Gasket on old cap was worn out. Easy to install, excellent OEM replacement.

Very Satisfied with purchase, received quickly and at a great price. Replaced my gas cap on 2005 Honda CR-V. Check engine light would come on after filling gas tank and would go out in a day or two. After installing I cleared code and have filled tank 2X and so far so good!
