This product was a quick, easy and cheap fix to the dreaded yellow check engine light. Just be aware that the light takes a number of on off cycles of the ignition before the computer clears. Not sure exactly how many. Had the same problem about 7 years ago and made the mistake of taking it to the dealer. They charged me the then price of an OE cap but installed the exact same after market cap I just got. Of course plus labor. By the way the OE price now is about $35.

We used this to replace the cap for our Dodge Grand Caravan because the listing said it was compatible. But the check engine light is still coming on and gas is still evaporating from our tank. Not sure if it’s the right size or if it’s not shutting tightly.

I was having issues with my original gas cap on my 2012 dodge grand caravan the check engine l8ght was. Coming on all the time and only sometimes tripped the fuel cap light. My mechanics replace my cap with some other one that was always throwing the code for over 1 year. I finally bought this one and have not had the lights come on since. They were going to charge me to replace my lines which would have been hundreds of dollars this 9.99 cap fixed my problem
