What you see in the photo attached is how this arrived and placed onto the fuel tank. The packaging had a plastic little bag with the gas cap in it with the keys. So the gas cap got scratched from the keys being with it during shipping. The unit does work but as you can see, it’s blue in color as well as scratched. Although this will work, it’s not pleasant to look at on my beautiful bike. If I can find another one that is completely chrome and not scratched some where that is reasonably priced, I’ll replace this one. This replaced a gas cap that wouldn’t seal properly and there was smell of gasoline vapors where this new one does not leak and absolutely no smell and fits exactly right. Scratches takes a star away and the blue color takes another star away from 5 stars. 3 stars maximum. Sometimes you get what you pay for. This is a good price but not what I was expecting.
Update: After a couple of months it was noticed that the blue portion is simply plastic that can be removed by peeling it back to reveal the silver fuel tank without any scratches. Combined with a good fit, this deserves 5 stars so it’s been updated.
