This is more of a helpful hint about installing this fuel pump than an actual review of the pump itself. I have not successfully installed this pump on my 2001 Cadillac Seville YET. The instructions that came with this pump showed how to replace one of the pump’s original electrical connectors with one supplied with the pump. They even supply splicing nuts needed. That was easy to do. The problem is, the fuel tank lock ring that holds the pump in place is almost impossible to remove. People on the web say they use a hammer and brass chisel, hammer and block of wood, a power chisel, and even a blow torch (what could go wrong there?) to loosen that ring. That those rings themselves are available on Amazon tells me that you have to destroy it to get it off. I tried a fuel pump removal tool specifically for my car, but it was too big. Thank goodness for Amazon’s return policy. I am now waiting on a Universal Fuel Pump Removal Tool from Amazon. I strongly suggest you remove the lock ring before you buy a replacement pump, because you might end up paying someone to do the job. The web and YouTube has good info on doing all this. I will amend this comment when I actually get the pump installed, hopefully soon. Good luck installing your pump, you’ll need it.
