This gas cap fit a 2006 Chevy Malibu SS. I had to replace the factory cap after the factory cap quit sealing. The only negative about the cap so far is the tether, it’s just very stiff plastic. And the end that attaches to the car, the tether ends in a t. I was able to get it into the hole by simply heating the tether up with a heat gun, away from the car, and then using a pair of needle nose pliers the kind of squeeze it so it would fit through the hole. Normally you have the hook on the inside of the gas door to hang the cap, and the tethers so stiff that it just won’t stay there. But it does work, no check engine light, it clicks when you close it, does everything a replacement gas cap should except for the tether.
