Fits hubby’s 2008 Aspen perfectly. Nice gas cap that doesn’t have a locking mechanism. Functional, great value, and exactly what we were looking for.

I picked up this fuel cap because, according to my mechanic buddy, the old one was apparently not sealing properly, which led to an emissions error code on the dash that would not go away. This cap was a straight replacement for my Wrangler JK. It fits perfectly, and the ratchet action kicks in at the right point so you don’t over-tighten the cap. I had a little trouble getting the cord attachment to fit into the housing, but a couple hammer taps got it in there and I’m confident it won’t come back out.
The error code is still on my dash after a week, but apparently it can take up to a couple weeks for the code to self-clear. If it doesn’t, I guess I’ll need to get a better mechanic buddy 😀
