Direct plug and play to my 99 996.1 C2. No modifications needed unlike the other suggested cheap alternative using VW parts, which still didn’t work for me after modifying.
basic home mechanic –
Porsche 996 Turbo – worked as it should. Electrical connector fit, swapped over the cables and an outer plastic cover from the old one. It fixed my alarm beeping and failing window drop due to bad microswitches in old latch. Amazing for this price. It does not look to be made of lesser material than the original, but time will tell.

When I lock the doors, the passenger door will not do anything about 90% of the time. A few times it functioned, locked/unlicked but most of the time it does not.

This lock bolted right in, and had the correct plug for my 1999 Porsche 996. Hasn’t been very long yet, but so far it’s working well.
