    My hood kept falling on me every time I needed to check my fluids or battery. It was a minor inconveinance, until I had to do more extensive work under the hood. I got fed up using a broom handle to prop open my hood, and kept knocking it out and slammed the hood onto my back more than once.

    I ordered these hood shocks, and they showed up fast, and installed in all of 5 minutes. I honestly do not know what took me so long to figure out this is what I needed and it would have saved me quite a few bruises and swear words.

    So far, after about a month of use they are still performing admirably and are working like the ones that came with the car when the vehicle was brand new.
