Product exactly as described and a perfect replacement fit for what was already in the airbox. The video for this product in the listing I believe shows a 2006 Escape; I would recommend checking You Tube for current video because I own a 2011 and it is not a 2 piece cover as pictured.

Fits and works well. The cabin looks significantly dust free. I had wiped the interior with Armorall right before installing this filter and there has not been much dust that I can see. Huge improvement.
The fresh breeze smells like an air freshener. Seems out of place for a car and it overwhelms the nice car smell. It is not a big deal. This is still a good product.

I am glad I found this filter. I had searched several location in town and didn’t have any luck. After watching a short video on how to replace my filter (seems like every vehicle is different) it took about 5 minutes to remove and replace the old cabin filter. Thank you for a high quality product at a fair price.

This filter is of high quality and really easy to install. It is much easier than for the 01-07 models. There are several good quality YouTube videos to help you if needed.
Because of its shape, it will only fit in the box one way. Also, note a label of the filter itself indicating which side is up.
This fits a bit differently than you might be expecting. After you remove the four passenger side cowl fasteners and push the passenger side cowl and filter cover up, remove the old filter if there is one. With a flashlight, inspect the interior of the filter box. You’ll see plastic rectangular protrusions near the bottom of the box. Put the rear of the filter in first and push the rear down until it contacts those protrusions, then just push the rest of the filter down. A YouTube video notes the filter fits “awkwardly.” This is due to the shape of the filter and the configuration of the filter box.
I just changed mine after 16 months and was quite pleased with the amount of junk it kept out of my passenger compartment.

Fits my 2009 v6 Escape perfectly. I’m no mechanic but I could fit it easily within 15 minutes, and next time around it will take me less time as I’ll know what I’m doing. I like that it even comes with installation instructions specific to the vehicle. My Escape doesn’t have the four hidden screws under the windshield that are shown in the instructions (so yours might not either). That makes installation even easier, just remove the screws that are present. I found it easier to remove the cover for the filter housing by using a flat-head screw driver on the clips that hold it in place of which there are two); they’re fiddly, especially the one that’s nearest the center of the engine compartment as there’s almost no space for fingers, but the screwdriver fixes that.
Highly recommend this as great value compared to getting a dealer to change it.
Also on mine – I know I’ve previously paid the Ford dealer to change my cabin air filter. Guess what I found when I was fitting this – there was no cartridge in there at all. So all these years the dealer has been charging me to replace this filter but hasn’t actually done the work! Another advantage of a little simple DIY.

Fit in location – my car didn’t come with one originally.
Negatives:
– slightly reduces airflow as opposed to not having one. Perhaps this is the reason ford didn’t install one.
– expensive compared to others for other cars.
