This is the BEST quality air filter on the market, no other OEM or other manufacturer makes one that gets contaminants this small and uses the power of Arm and Hammer. I forgot to replace my air filter 25K miles ago…and figured I would give this a try. I didn’t realize how fresh my A/C could be until I used this. My ONLY compliant is it did not fit exactly, it required a slight amount of “mashing” it into place. After I got it in the cartridge, it fit well. This is the only CON, and should not be enough to detract from buying this product.

CONS: Not an exact fit, but fits anyways.
Overall: Unless this air filter causes me to asphyxiate, I will continue getting it. Highly impressed with it.

DOES IT FIT?
Yes! I have been using the TYC 800026P Filter (got it for $10 a year ago) and had to trim it down slightly for the filter to fit. At first glance, it appeared like this filter was going to be slightly too large but the size was perfect when I squeezed it in. In the first picture below, you can see how dirty the TYC filter has become in just a year. Craziness!
IS IT HARD TO INSTALL?
No! I’m not a car person. Heck, I don’t do much manual stuff in general. This filter is very easy to install. I’ve added some pictures below to walk you through it for my Hyundai Santa Fe. Other car models might be different. Just empty the glove box, open it completely, switch out the filters, replace them, and close it all back up. To remove the filter, I had to squeeze clips on both sides of the plastic tray and pull it directly out. Wasn’t hard and didn’t require any strength. I have six easy steps pictured below. You can do it under 5 min!

I looked multiple places and tried to find a cabin air filter of any sort for my car. No one had them. I was very pleased to find this particular one on amazon and try it. I have tried all the other brands, so I wanted to try this one. I already knew how to install it but it did come with directions that seemed to be pretty helpful for those that had not installed one before. The directions told you which way to place the filter. I’ve had it in the car for several weeks now and seems to be doing great. There is no nasty, musty smell when starting the car initially. I’m not sure how long these are actually suppose to last, but I replace my cabin air filter early summer and early winter because that is when I seem to smell the mustiness.

The side with writing was different. The OEM one the writing is on the long side, on the this one the writing is on the short side. It is faint, but there is an arrow indicating airflow, which should be pointed down.

Because this filter is almost a perfect square, make sure to have the filter in the correct position.

Note that the two “hard” sides are oriented on the left/right when installing, not front/back as I would have thought.
Thickness and airflow are the same as the original for a much better price.
