All of the stores around me are sold out so I ordered the filter off of here. As described. Excellent product and excellent packaging.

I like the idea of “extended drain” filters. Even if your running conventional oil these filters are sometimes priced the same as a standard filter. Installed on my 1995′ Ford F-250 7.3 Power Stroke (w/now 265,000 Miles). I run it annually or 10,000 miles (whichever comes first). I’m not hauling anything real heavy except my 3,000 lb. truck camper. Pair this with Shell T6 5w-40 Full Synthetic (15,000 Miles) or Shell T5 15w-40/10w-30 Semi-Synthetic (10,000 Miles) & you have an excellent combination! When you need 4 gallons of oil it’s cheaper running extended drains.
Update 6/30/17: Shell T5 15w-40 CK-4 is also Ford WSS–M2C171-F1 Approved: This is some of the best oil available if your running in a Power Stroke Diesel Engine or other HD apps! Also, Found some Valvoline Heavy Duty 15w-40 Conventional Oil that Met both CK-4 & Ford Specs too. Ford is saying all Power Stroke Diesel’s should run oil’s that meet their new specification.

Fram makes good filters, but i wish they would make a ruberized grip on this filter. On my 2000 F350 with a 7.3l diesel, when removing the old one the oil drains straight down the sides of the filter and the whole thing gets covered in oil as soon as you crack it. Once covered with oil, it is almost impossible to grab with the bare hand. Dropped my old one in the catch pan and splashed oil everywhere. Might not be as big of a problem if you have the right tools or a cover for your pan. I will still choose this product over other comparable filters in the future

It’s what I’ve used in the past
