works as expected, a bit bigger than OEM, this filter does his job.
I’ve got it for 5000 miles, planning to keep it at least for 15-20k miles as advertised.
Oil changes are much easier and quicker if you don’t have to swap oil filter, with this one I plan to swap filter every 3 oil changes (I do 5-8k miles per change).

Folks I have been in auto industry for 20 years and MUST DO my research for my personal and customer vehicles !! When it comes to engine oil and oil filter QUALITY must be #1 or your gonna pay for it $$$$ with serious engine issues !! The Fram ultra series has a ULTRA STRONG WIRED mesh media with silicone anti-drain back valve !! These critical parts are what makes this the best filters on the market !! Even a popular Ford mastertech on youtube SWEARS by these filters and only uses them on his personal cars !!! My fleet includes Suburban’s and Crown Victoria cop cars and they only run these filters for 15K miles @ 5K OCI’s and NEVER an issue !!

    Installed in a 2002 Tahoe
If you are looking for oil filters for Chevy Tahoe, I recommend that you install the ones with anti-drain back valve.
The problem with the lack of the anti-drain back valve is that when you park the car in the afternoon, and next morning you start the engine; it is very possible that you will initially have some engine noise, which is related to the hydraulic tappets not being charged with oil. It is an annoying sound that disappears quickly. But a filter with an anti-drain back valve will avoid the situation.
    From the Fram web-site http://www.fram.com/support/faqs.aspx
“Anti-Drainback Valve. Some oil filter mountings may allow oil to drain out of the filter through the oil pump when the engine is stopped. When the engine is next started, oil must refill the filter before full oil pressure reaches the engine. The anti-drainback valve, included in the filter when required, prevents oil from draining out of the filter. This anti-drainback valve is actually a rubber flap that covers the inside of the inlet holes of the filter. When the oil pump starts pumping oil, the pressure will unseat the flap. The purpose of this valve is to keep the oil filter filled at all times, so when the engine is started there will be an almost instantaneous supply of oil to the engine”

There’s a lot of videos out there disparaging Fram filters, well I have been using them since I got my first car. That engine has around 450k miles on it. Been rebuilt once because the piston rings wore so thin one set fell off the piston. The main journals were still within factory specs. Going to keep using these until Brandon gets rid of ICE vehicles.

Idk about the mileage yet, just put it on there like a month ago, or easy to remove, I’d assume it’s easy to remove with a filter wrench.

This filter did leak around the seal for a few days after I put it on there. I screwed it on hand tight, and put oil on the seal like you should. Might have gotten it too tight, but the leak stopped and hasn’t dripped at all. This leak I saw was extremely slow, tiny spot the size of a quarter overnight, might have been oil on the frame around the filter when I installed it.

Truck has good oil pressure with this filter, oil still looks new on the dip stick. no issues.

    Great products use all time.
