I’ve purchased this air filter once before, though not from Amazon. Previously, when I needed a new air filter for our 2004 Volvo XC90 T6, I’d have to have a local auto parts store order one in. For whatever reason, no one keeps them in stock. Purchasing this air filter directly through Amazon was far easier, cheaper, and it got here faster! Add that it’s eligible for Subscribe & Save, knocking another 20% off, and that there was a $2 rebate, and this was a great deal.
The pricing and availability advantages aside, this is a premium product, which is why I buy Fram filters over and over again. The materials are top notch, packaged nicely, and always fit just like an OEM part. Unless you’re looking for a high performance (and high cost) after market part from K&N, you can’t beat this filter.

Clearly, the amazon vehicle selection guide is broken.
I don’t know what else I need to input to see only items specifically made for my vehicle. I gave the year, make and model, specific engine type and yet I’m shown this air filter that was not designed to fit my wife’s Volvo. There was a green box promising that this filter would fit. Imagine my surprise when I tried to install it and realized it was too long and too narrow. Check out the photos to see how the old filter matches up with the new one.
Someone over at amazon needs to do some homework and actually verify, perhaps with manufacturers directly, that the items listed do in fact fit the vehicles they claim to be made for.
Now anytime I find a product for our vehicles, I have to search through third party sites to cross check an exact match. Hopefully this is something they can fix soon! I would like to be able to trust amazon’s guide and not have to rely on “fact checking” these parts.
In case you have the same Volvo as we do, this filter will definitely NOT fit your air box.

The item was relatively cheap compared to the OEM product and yet fits perfectly and does the same job as OEM, only at a fraction of the price of the OEM unit from Volvo dealer. Very glad that Amazon had it delivered to our home in just under a day.

This is an exact replacement filter for the 5 & 6 Cyl (T5&T6) models (I used it in a 2004). Its of better quality than the ones you can buy at the big auto parts chains and cheaper on Amazon than any other site I looked on. I like the steel mesh backing that makes this large filter fit well and not sag in the air box. I don’t understand the people giving it bad reviews because they have the V8 model and bought the wrong filter. The air filter is the most accessible item beneath the hood of any vehicle. Not checking yours before you buy a replacement is unacceptable. This is a 5 star product.
