Worked well for about 12k miles. Then the bearing got loose in the plastic pulley. Replaced with a steel pulley.

I cannot recommend!. I replaced my original idler pulley on my VW Eurovan with this unit as a preventative precaution when putting a new serpentine belt on the vehicle. All seemed good at first but after about 5000 miles of use I had a clatter in the engine bay which I eventually tracked down to this Idler pulley so I removed it and put back in the original 18 year old unit from VW and all is quiet again.

Don’t waste money on an entire belt tensioner, replace the pulley with this item instead. Fits Eurovan with the 24 and 12 valve VR6s.
