Tufoil for Engines is a must-have in our household! This is a regular purchase for my husband—he uses it after every oil change in all of our vehicles, including our 2009 Toyota Corolla, 2019 Ford Expedition, and 2020 Maserati.
It helps keep the engines running smoothly, efficiently, and quietly, and we’ve noticed a difference in overall performance. With Tufoil, we feel confident that our vehicles are getting the extra protection they need for long-term durability. Definitely a trusted and worthwhile product!

I honestly prefer the style that’s mounted on a board, but these were such a good deal. I picked him up as extras and they didn’t disappoint. Very high-quality.

I have been a user of Tufoil since they came out with it MANY years ago and swear by it. I often will take small amounts of this and combine it with lighter oils for household use and it’s amazing at reducing friction. I use this in my motorcycle (but it DOES NOT have a wet clutch!), also my Dodge Diesel truck. Just can’t say enough good things about it. It’s worth every penny.

This is an outstanding product but trying to talk to the owner (a Maine Maniac), is a difficult process so I buy it off Amazon.com.
If you are not aware, the label : Maine Maniac, has been given to Manas for nearly a century. Who knows where it came from, maybe
from the civil war when Joshua Chambers made a maniacal charge against Reb lines and they got up and ran. Amazing but true at least by history. My great grandaddy went into the Maine Volunteers at age 15 and got out at age 18 at the end of the war. Maybe that’s why he moved out West to get away from the Maine Maniac label. (-: People from Maine call themselves Manas just in case you were wondering.
I believe if you put this Tufoil in your car after it is broke in, that it will or at least the engine will get double the normal mileage before needing work.
It is a modified teflon that reduces the size of the teflon particles by a good deal so it gives a much better coverage. Mechanics will hate it because they won’t get near as many engine overhauls.

I noticed within a few minutes after starting up my 96 Neon which has over 203,000 miles on it that the engine ran a little quieter and seemed to run a little smoother. As for the gas mileage I have only noticed a 1 mpg increase. Maybe its my imagination but I also seemed to notice an improvement in acceleration. I also added Tufoil to my 2000 Ford Explore which my wife drives, it has over 236,000 miles on it. I didn’t tell her that I added Tufoil to the oil. I wanted to see it she would notice a difference. A couple days later she stated that for some reason the truck seemed to just glide down the road and that when she takes off from a stop light she seems to be leaving everyone else way behind her. Since she doesn’t check her mileage I don’t know if there was any increase but she is very happy with the other results. I will definitely be adding Tufoil with all my oil changes from now on.

It’s thick and sounds expensive. But it’s been keeping all my internal combustion engines running well beyond their expiration dates for many, many years. A senior aviation maintenance instructor alerted me to Tufoil. Said that’s how his airplane engines stayed together despite high temperature (mostly air cooled) and relative abuse.
I mow side-slopes with splash-lubricated mowers with no ill effects! My air cooled VW engine lasted a quarter million miles with only occasional valve renewal.
Tufoil is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the slipperiest substance on the planet. I’ve talked to the engineer who developed it and this is the real thing, PTFE for everyman.
The only caveat I know is not to use it in motorcycles with combined engine/transmission lubrication. Mainly because of the clutches. Well, any transmission with synchronizers will suffer also – it changes the friction that drastically.
I typically use 8 oz on first oil change (NOT FOR BREAK-IN!) and half that afterwards. I use a corresponding percentage with all small engines. Tufoil not only reduces friction/heat and increases mileage (marginal but measurable) but also reduces ring wear and extends bearing life. What’s not to like? We hand our vehicles down to relatives, with confidence and pride, at least partly due to having used Tufoil PTFE in the engines during their time with us.

I only recently started experimenting with engine oil additives, for purposes of slowing a leak in my wife Acura and smoothing out the idle and valvetrain noise in my 93 Toyota pickup. My first treatment of Tufoil in both vehicles did both, I was amazed how quiet the motor became in the pickup and how much quieter and smoother the Acura’s engine became. This almost instant result makes me confident that this is a product that works. I’ve added it to my other truck, a 07 Tundra, along with my riding mower and other gas powered equipment with no negative effects. I should not that prior to trying Tufoil I did a treatment of Seafoam in the gas/oil/intake, while it did produce a lot of smoke out the tailpipe, it didn’t solve any of the above noted issues.
For the first treatment, I followed the instructions of 8oz per 5qts of oil, my follow up treatments will be the prescribed 4oz per 5qts.
You will definitely want to try Tufoil out if you have a noisy valve train or looking for a smoother running engine. I can’t comment on any MPG increases yet, but that’s not why I purchased it.
PS: Aside from Tufoil, I would recommend using Valvoline High Mileage oil, it has a strong detergent base for cleaning your engine and will help rejuvenate seals to slow leaks. It is also semi synthetic oil for only a few dollars more the the regular oil.
